SGT Watts Veterans Foundation Ride for Vets

Saturday, September 21, 2024 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM

The SGT Watts Veterans Foundation is kicking off fall with a Ride for Vets! This ride is open to any and all bikes with a suggested donation of $5 per bike. Meet at Paradise at 8:30 am. The ride will roll out at around 9:30 am and return to Paradise for free lunch and a 50/50 raffle drawing! Proceeds go to support local Veterans organizations.

2024 Motorcycle Raffle

Through the gracious donation of caring individuals, the foundation purchased a New 2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide Motorcycle, that will be raffled to one lucky winner at 2 p.m. PST on August 24, 2024. 

A total of 500 tickets will be sold at $100 per ticket. Don’t hesitate to purchase your raffle ticket(s) and have a chance to win this new 2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide valued over $31,800. Additional prizes include one $500 gift card from Paradise Harley Davidson or one of five, $100 gift cards. 

The winner may negotiate with Paradise Harley Davidson to repurchase the bike or apply it to another model.

2022 Motorcycle Raffle

First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the SGT Watts Veterans Foundation and Combat Vets 29-1, 2022 Motorcycle Raffle. This was the inaugural event for the SGT Watts Veterans Foundation, in partnership with Combat Vets 29-1, and proudly supported by Paradise Harley Davidson.  We are very proud of the achievement of this joint operation on behalf of the Oregon Veterans community. Together the SGT Watts Veterans Foundation, Combat Vets 29-1, Paradise Harley Davidson and many volunteer supporters sold all 400 pre-printed tickets, valued at $100 per ticket and together, raised a total of $40,000. Most importantly, one hundred percent of the proceeds from this raffle were immediately donated to the Veterans organizations listed below:

  • $7,500  Paws Assisting Veterans
  • $7,500  Honor Flight
  • $7,500  Salvation Army Veterans and Family Center
  • $6,750  Returning Veterans Project
  • $4,500  Fort Kennedy
  • $3,000  Oregon Veterans Home-The Dalles

Congratulations Tammy!

We are also pleased to announce the winning motorcycle raffle ticket was held by Tammy Kromhout of Lebanon, OR. She received the beautiful 2022 Harley Davidson, FLHT Electra Glide Standard valued at $22,000. As fate would have it, Tammy is a PTSD Counselor for Veterans, so it felt appropriate for her to win. Tammy was obviously very surprised, humbled, and overcome with emotion. She said, “it was the first time she ever won anything in her life”. With the help of donations from Paradise Harley Davidson and Foundation President, Ron Gibson, other monetary winners include:
